Throw a dinner party like no other – break bread with friends while raising funds to house the homelessness.
Step 1: Become a Host
Join Home With Friends hosts! Get started by creating your own dinner fundraising page and setting a goal for your party. Think about a theme, a tempting menu, special guests, the perfect playlist – a real night to remember!
Step 2: Invite Friends and Fundraise
Invite friends to your dinner by sharing your fundraising page via email or social media. In lieu of wine or flowers, ask friends to donate on your fundraising page. They receive a tax receipt from Homes First and a tasty meal at your home! Suggested donation is $100 per person but can be any amount.
Keren says: “I was a bit nervous about asking people for money to come to my dinner party, but Homes First sent me an email template and said to start with close friends and family. After I sent out my first email, my brother, 2 colleagues and my best-friend from college all agreed to attend and made donations. My parents couldn’t attend but they made a donation anyway because they know how important housing is.”
